Time travel in Berlin: from Kreuzberg to Neukolln

“Don’t go to Kreuzberg or Neukolln!” - You could hear this 10-15 years ago from Germans who are not from Berlin. This tour will show why this sentence is not valid anymore. These districts are changing on a fast speed with nowadays a vibrant scene of shops, restaurants, art and culture. Let’s discover some of the prettiest corners of them! On this tour the guests will travel back in time and hear old stories from the multicultural districts Kreuzberg and Neukolln. We will start with a walk through the most beautiful part of Kreuzberg, which was untouched from the bombings during WWII. Experience Bergmannkiez, once a place with many brothels where nobody wanted to live. Today one of the most expensive corners of Berlin with beautiful buildings more than 100 years old, lovely restaurants, shops and cafes. After it, we will go to the former airport Tempelhof Feld – today a huge park. Explore there an urban gardening project, beer gardens, kite surfers, mobile espresso cars and many places to chill. This is a unique possibility to experience the dimension of an airfield by foot! Have you heard of Raisin bombers or the West Berlin Airbridge? Let me tell you about this place full of history. We will exit the park on the side of Neukolln and discover a hidden young, artsy and green neighbourhood of Berlin, where locals are going for delicious food and drinks. Enjoy the tasty end of the tour there!
