Join me on a unique metro station tour where we'll ride the subway with open eyes. We'll consciously admire and observe beautiful public spaces. We'll pass diverse architectural sights: from old to new, from modern to post-modern. Believe me when I say that every stop has a local story to tell! I'm a professional guide and have carefully selected some of my favorite metro stops just for you! Berlin is packed with eye-catching underground hubs and I am happy to show you the most interesting ones! Let's kick off the tour at Nollendorf Platz which is known for its Metropol Theatre, gay village and a memorial to the Murdered gays & lesbians. We'll then board subway line Nr. 3, known as Berlin's oldest, opened in 1910. Wittenberg Platz is our next stop where we'll check out Berlin's first Concentration Camp Memorial. On our way to Hohenzollern Platz, we'll first stop at the Food Halls at KaDeWe, where it's optional to grab a coffee. Our next stops are all about breathtaking photographs and flamboyant 1970s designs. I'll show you the Ahmadiyya Mosque, and a string of Nazi-era buildings. Heidelberger Platz will take your breath away with its cathedral-like station and fabulous mosaics. We'll then ride to the Rudesheimer Platz, an immensely beautiful station with lots of elaborate detail and references to the wine-growing region. We'll get off to explore one of Berlin's prettiest squares with its fabulous turn-of-century, Tudor-style, buildings, and catch a glimpse of the impressive Siegfried Fountain. Our last stop will leave us wandering along one of Berlin's grandest avenue: Podbielski Allee, set in one of its wealthiest neighborhoods, lined with embassies and international schools, followed by a leisurely stroll to the Royal Garden Academy. The tour concludes with a coffee and cake in the spectacular cafe set in a greenhouse! Don't forget that everything on this tour can be 100% customized around your wishes. Just let me know!
