Bangkok Historic Riverside Communities

Omschrijving:

Take a history trip to discover the legacy the Ayutthaya Kingdom left behind. This private tour will take you to explore one of the oldest riverside communities in Bangkok, temples, local markets while opening your mind to the cultures and traditions of the Thai community. Visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), the royal temple during the Thonburi period and one of the best highlights that you should not miss while visiting Thailand. Do as the locals do and hop on a tuk-tuk to visit the Kudeejeen community where people from different ethnic backgrounds settled in, such as Thai, Chinese, Europeans, Indians, Vietnamese, Mons, and others. They all migrated from the old Ayutthaya Kingdom with three Religions and Four Beliefs, namely Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. During your private tour, you will get to see historic temples, shrines, and churches that are connected with the people who have settled in this community. I'll show you the Wat Prayurawongsawas Temple, which won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2013. A truly amazing thing to see during your trip to Bangkok. Pay a visit to the local Catholic community, where the majority of people who live here have Portuguese ancestry which migrated from Ayutthaya. We will stop at the local coffee shop to drink and taste the unique cupcake which its recipe derives from generation since the Ayutthaya period. The highlights continue with a visit to a Chinese shrine and another important temple with the largest sitting Buddha in Bangkok. And let's not forget about the beautiful flower market, located opposite the riverbank. Any other requests? I can always personalize your tour. Dess code for momen in temples - please wear trousers or skirts at least cover the knees, preferably full length trousers or skirts or carry a sarong or scraf to wrap around you
